Adeline A. Caimi, age 102, formerly of 108 Harrison Ave., Ridgway, died Monday morning, June 4, 2018, at Elk Haven Nursing Home. She was born January 11, 1916, in Force, PA, daughter of the late Frank and Maria Arigoni. She married Fiorentino Caimi on July 3, 1941 in a double ring marriage ceremony shared with her sister, Mary, and Robert Bianchi at St. Boniface Roman Catholic Church in Kersey, PA. Fiorentino preceded her in death on January 15, 1995. She resided all of her life in Elk County with most of the years spent as a resident of Ridgway. She also had been a resident of Silver Creek Terrace Assisted Living Home for the last 4 years in St. Marys. She was a faithful member of St. Leo Catholic Church. She had been employed at several factories in Ridgway and Daguscahonda over a 40 year period until her retirement at age 65.
She was the youngest of 8, 5 sisters and 3 brothers, all of whom are deceased. The mainstay of her life and her constant focus was on her children. She is survived by 2 sons: Florentino (Carol) Caimi of Lock Haven and John (Cindy) Caimi of Ridgway, and 3 grandchildren: Paul in MacElhattan, Tara in State College, and Adam in State College. Besides her parents, husband, brothers, and sisters, she was preceded in death by 1 son Raymond and 1 granddaughter Allison.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Adeline A. Caimi will be celebrated at St. Leo Catholic Church on Thursday, June 7, 2018, at 11:00 AM. Officiating will be Fr. Justin P. Pino, Pastor of St. Leo Catholic Church. Burial will be at St. Boniface Cemetery in Kersey. Friends will be received at the Thompson Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, from 6-8 PM. A Wake Service will be held Wednesday evening at 7:45 PM at the funeral home. Memorials, if desired, can be made to Ridgway Ambulance Service or to the Ridgway YMCA
