Kenneth M. Krise, age 77, of 1493 Montmorenci Rd., Ridgway, died Tuesday evening, August 21, 2018, at his residence following a brief illness. He was born January 19, 1941, in Kersey, son of the late Lesley and Kathryn (Cuneo) Krise. He married Judith A. Nordstrom on July 31, 1960, she survives. They were married for 58 years. He resided in Ridgway for many years and was a member of St. Leo Catholic Church. He was a member of the Ridgway Township Zoning Hearing Board. He enjoyed bowling for 34 years at Jireh Lanes in Kersey and hunting with his son Ken. He coached Ridgway Little League and was an umpire for the area baseball leagues for many years. Ken always had a smile on his face, a story to tell, and a weather update. He was a graduate of Erie Technical High School. He had been employed at Metaldyne for 24 years and was a bus driver for 39 years.
He is survived by his wife, Judith A. Krise of Ridgway, 1 son Kenneth A. (Stacey Grazioli) Krise of Ridgway, 1 daughter Ann Krise (Dave) Brennan of Midland, Michigan, 5 grandchildren: Katie Krise (Shawn) Geci, Diana Krise (Tim) Newell, Kelly Brennan (Sam) Szaroletta, Elena Brennan, and Matthew Brennan, 2 great grandchildren: Maria and Landon, and baby Szaroletta in September, 1 sister Regina Wolfe of Kersey and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 daughter Marsha Elaine Krise, 1 sister Helen, and 4 brothers: Leroy, Sam, and Dan Krise, and Bob Wonderly.
Funeral and Committal Services for Kenneth M. Krise will be held at the Thompson Funeral Home on Friday at 10:00 AM. Officiating will be Fr. Justin P. Pino, Pastor of St. Leo Catholic Church. Burial will be at Oakmont Cemetery. Friends will be received at the Thompson Funeral Home on Thursday from 5-8 PM. Memorials, if desired, can be made to the Hahne Regional Cancer Center.
