Robert R. Perryman

October 21, 1936 ~ December 6, 2018 (age 82)

Robert R. Perryman, age 82, of 1 Gillouly Ave., Ridgway, died Thursday afternoon, December 6, 2018, at Penn Highlands DuBois following a brief illness.  He was born October 21, 1936, in Ridgway, son of the late Robert A. and Pearl M. (Anderson) Perryman.  He married Patricia M. McGuire on July 6, 1999, she survives.  He had resided in Ridgway all of his life and was a member of Faith United Church of Christ.  He was a 1954 graduate of the Ridgway High School.  He was employed by Metaldyne as a Machinist for many years.  Bob had a life long love of the guitar and played with numerous groups over the years including The Sunrays.  He enjoyed woodworking and relaxing with family and friends on his deck.  

 

He is survived by his wife Patricia M. Perryman of Ridgway, his children:  Linda (James) Caggeso of Ridgway, Robert J. Perryman of Ridgway, Jeffrey (Nancy) Perryman of Ridgway, and Diane (David) Brennan of Delft, Netherlands, 4 stepchildren:  Jodi (Robin) Jafari of Atlanta, Georgia, Shannon (Larry) Hatem of Clearwater, Florida, Nicole (George) Chong of New Zealand, Jamie (Billy) Quaid of Davenport, Iowa, 7 grandchildren:  Elijah, Jacob, Daniel, Jessica, Elya, Liana, and Harrison, 8 step grandchildren:  Regan, Kylie, Damian, Jeremy, Brendan, Kristie, Aizen, and Sabrina, 1 great grandson Casey, 3 step great grandchildren:  Raeleygh, Reider, and Ryson, 2 sisters:  Brenda Krise of Ridgway and Judy (Tom) Daniels of St.  Marys, 1 brother Keith (Penny) Perryman of North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, and numerous nieces and nephews.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 son Edward Patrick Perryman in infancy.

 

A Memorial Service for Robert R. Perryman will be held at the Thompson Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 12, 2018, at 11:00 AM.  Officiating will be John Smith, Chaplain.  Burial will be at Ott Cemetery.  There will be no visitation.  Memorials, if desired, can be made to the Ridgway Ambulance Corp. or to the Elk County Humane Society.
