Dino L. Marnatti, age 87, of 2248 Ridgway Johnsonburg Rd., Ridgway, died Sunday morning, January 23, 2022, at Pinecrest Manor, following a lengthy illness. He was born June 3, 1934, in Force, PA, son of the late Vincenzo and Regina (Oldani) Marnatti. He married E. Jane Brown on January 4, 1958 in Winchester, VA, she survives. They were married for 64 years.
He resided in Ridgway most of his life and was a member of St. Leo Catholic Church. Dino was a retired member of the Ridgway Fire Dept.- Capital City, a past member of the American Legion, a volunteer for the Ridgway Food Bank, delivered meals for the Ridgway Christmas Day Happening, and a volunteer driver for Meals on Wheels. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends at camp. He was a graduate of Weedville High School Class of 1952. He had been employed by Elco Electric, R.D. Goss, and was a self-employed Electrician. He retired from Carbon Graphite Inc. in 1998. He served in the U.S. Army and served as a Peacetime Veteran from 1957-1959.
He is survived by his wife E. Jane Marnatti of Ridgway; 2 sons Robert (Sharon) Marnatti of Ridgway and Brian (Julia) Marnatti of Treasure Lake; 2 grandsons Carl and Kevin Marnatti of Ridgway; 1 brother Hugo (Marion) Marnatti of Lexington, KY, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother Fluvio Marnatti who died March 25, 2019.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Dino L. Marnatti will be celebrated at St. Leo Catholic Church on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at 11:00 AM. Officiating will be Fr. Justin P. Pino, Pastor of St. Leo Catholic Church. Burial will be at Parklawn Memorial Gardens. Friends will be received at the Thompson Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 5-7 PM.
