Dominick J. Fazio

Dominick J. Fazio, age 79, of 522 Rock St., Ridgway, died Friday, March 11, 2022, at Penn Highlands Elk following a brief illness.  He was born April 16, 1942, in Queens, NY, son of the late Joseph A.  and Grace R (Lavacco) Fazio.  He married Helen A. Wilde on March 14, 1975, she preceded him in death.  

He resided in Ridgway for 11 years and was formerly of Long Island, New York.  He was Catholic by Faith and was a member of the Local 584 Union.  He served in the U.S. Army and was a Peacetime Veteran.  He had been employed by Local 584 Union as a Truck Driver for many years.

He is survived by 3 daughters:  Dominique H. (Louis) Amato of Ridgway, Dorothy (Eddie) Baldwin of Bakerfield, CA, and Donna (Roy) Gomez of Bakersfield, CA; 2 sons:  Eddie (Jennifer) Nizza of Long Island, NY and Joseph (Tammy) Nizza of Long Island, NY; 15 grandchildren:  Christian, Dominick, Geno, Giovanni, Eddie Jr., Joey, Samantha, Jessica, Michelle, Bethany, Jessica, Jacob, Jericha, Joel, and Jonathan. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

A Memorial Service for Dominick J. Fazio will be held at the Thompson Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at 11:00 AM.  Officiating will be Fr. Justin P. Pino, Pastor of St. Leo Catholic Church.  Burial will be at Calverton Cemetery in New York.  There will be no visitation.  Memorials, if desired, can be made to the donor’s choice.  Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Thompson Funeral Home.  Share your online condolences at thompsonfuneralhomepa.com
