Elizabeth A Herzing, 90, of 220 South Street, Ridgway, PA died peacefully, surrounded by her family at Penn Highlands DuBois. She was born on September 10, 1931 a daughter of the late Paul and Lucille Shock Walsh. On April 19,1952 in St. Leo’s Church, Elizabeth married Eugene A Herzing who proceeded her in death on November 24, 2018.
She is survived by three daughters Mildred (William) Pistner, Elizabeth Pearce, Donna (Daniel) Blair and a son Paul (Joan) Herzing; ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Elizabeth was preceded in death by three brothers Richard, William and John Walsh; two sisters Pauline Oknefski and Vivian Yankovich. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Elizabeth (Libby) will be remembered as a kind and gentle woman who always had a smile that lit up the room and made you feel like family.
A memorial mass of Christian burial for Elizabeth A. Herzing will be celebrated at 12:00 pm on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at St. Leo’s Church, 111 Depot St., Ridgway, PA. 15853. Family and friends will be received one hour prior to the service in the gathering space at St. Leo’s Church.
