James "Jim" Manno, Sr, 81, passed away at his residence on May 23, 2022 after a lengthy illness.
A lifelong resident of Ridgway, Jim was the son of Bruno and Mary Manno, who preceded him in death. After graduation from Gannon University in 1963, Jim married his high school sweetheart, Virginia, who survives.
Jim was an avid outdoorsman and a construction entrepreneur, a Sergeant in the US Army Reserves, a member of the Ridgway Industrial Development Corporation (RIDC), as well as the Kiwanis and Elks clubs.
In addition to his wife, Jim is survived by 5 children, 20 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.
A private memorial will be held on Thursday, May 26 for immediate family only. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ridgway Rifle Club or the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Thompson Funeral Home.
