Jane B. Judice, age 74, of 51 South St., Ridgway, died unexpectedly Friday, January 28, 2022, at her residence. She was born June 19, 1947, in St. Marys, daughter of the late John B. and Elizabeth (Gillen) Gapinski. She married Joseph A. Judice at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Johnsonburg on January 8, 1972, he survives.
She resided in Ridgway for the last 50 years and was a member of St. Leo Catholic Church and Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She was a member of the Ridgmont Auxiliary and enjoyed being a volunteer for wherever she might be needed. She was a graduate of Johnsonburg High School Class of 1965. She had been employed by Elk County General Hospital, Dr. W.W. Thompson MD, and the Moose Lodge #1183 all in Ridgway.
She is survived by her husband Joseph A. Judice of Ridgway, 1 son James (Diana) Iglewski of Hamburg, NY, 4 grandchildren: Erin, Kate, and Nicholas Iglewski of Hamburg, NY and Alyssa (Seth) Szczypierowskis of W. Seneca, NY; 1 sister Ellen Schreiber of St. Marys and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 grandchild Jenna Grace Iglewski, 1 sister Sarah “Sally” Redmond, and 1 brother Ted Gapinski.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Jane B. Judice will be celebrated at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Johnsonburg on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at 10:30 AM. Officiating will be Fr. David Wilson, Pastor of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Burial will be at Holy Rosary Cemetery in Johnsonburg. Friends will be received at the Thompson Funeral Home on Tuesday morning from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM. Memorials, if desired, can be made to St. Leo School or to the Elk County Humane Society.
