Marjorie R. Robinson, age 95, formerly of 3 East Cardott St., Ridgway, died Saturday, March 5, 2022, at Pinecrest Manor following a lengthy illness. She was born October 12, 1926, in Ridgway, daughter of the late Maurice F. And Mary H. (Keilocker) MacDonald. She married William Wallace Robinson on September 4, 1948, he preceded her in death on March 18, 2006.
She resided in Ridgway all her life and was a member of St. Leo Catholic Church. She served as Secretary for the C.D. of A., was a member of the PTA, Bridge Club, and a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts. She enjoyed Tuesday night dinners with her siblings, playing cards, traveling with her husband and visiting with their World War II friends. She was a graduate of Ridgway High School. She had been employed by Elk County General Hospital as a Secretary and the Elliott Company as a Secretary. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She is survived by 1 son James W. (Holly) Robinson of Mundelein, IL and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 5 sisters: Helen Powell, Grace Gregory, Anne Kennedy, Marianne Drathman, and Ruth Krizan; 6 brothers: John, Bill, Joe, Neil, Ed, and Jim MacDonald; 2 nieces Ruth Cooney and Sally Ross, and 1 nephew Michael Powell.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Marjorie R. Robinson will be celebrated at St. Leo Catholic Church on Friday, March 11, 2022, at 11:00 AM. Officiating will be Fr. Justin P. Pino, Pastor of St. Leo Catholic Church. Burial will be at St. Leo Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Memorials, if desired, can be made to St. Leo School, the Elk County Historical Society, or to the Ridgway Fire Dept. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Thompson Funeral Home.
