Paul R. Linder, age 94, formerly of 326 Bingham Rd., Ridgway, died Monday, March 14, 2022, at Elk Haven Nursing Home. He was born March 28, 1927, in Warren, PA, son of the late Eva Linder. He married Helen B. Piurkoski on November 1,1951, she preceded him in death on March 15, 2011.
He resided in Ridgway all of his life. He had been a Committee Member of Boy Scout Troop 93, a member of the Quarter Century Club at Motion Control, and a member of the Brockway Golf Course. Paul enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. He was a graduate of Ridgway High School Class of 1945. He served in the U.S. Army and was a Veteran of the Korean War. He had been employed by Motion Control Industries for 45 years.
He is survived by 3 children: Paul M. (Kelly) Linder of Jacksonville, FL, Deborah A. (Terry) Williams of Ridgway, and Thomas T. (Barbara) Linder of St. Marys; 4 grandchildren: Sarah, Jean, Louis, and Jennifer; 2 great-grandchildren: Joshua and Douglas; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, wife, his grandparents Thomas and Emma Linder who lovingly raised him, a grandson Michael Linder, 4 brothers: Leonard, LeRoy, Edward, and Walter Linder; 2 sisters: Lena Quintilliani and Lois Bellotti.
Funeral and Committal Services for Paul R. Linder will be held at the Thompson Funeral Home on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at 12:00 Noon with Military Honors accorded by the Ridgway Servicemen’s Burial Detail. Officiating will be Paul Reed, Lay Minister with the Faith United Church of Christ. Burial will be at Parklawn Memorial Gardens. Friends will be received at the Thompson Funeral Home on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at 12:00 PM.
