Raymond E. Ford, Sr., age 71, formerly of 240 Euclid Ave., Ridgway, died Monday, April 18, 2022, at Penn Highlands Jefferson Manor in Brookville following a lengthy illness. He was born March 23, 1951 in Kane, PA, son of the late Thomas and Flora (Van Camp) Ford, Sr. He resided in the Ridgway area for many years and he was a past member of the Ridgway V.F.W. He served in the U.S. Army and was a Veteran of the Vietnam War. Ray enjoyed fishing, hunting, classic cars and antiquing. He had been employed at Domtar for over 25 years.
He is survived by 1 daughter Mallisa R. (Stephen) Cleveland of Ridgway, 2 sons Raymond E. Ford, Jr. (Brianna Rae Wolff) of Kane, PA and Jacob G. (Carly) Ford of Ridgway, 6 grandchildren: Isabella, Nolan, Alex, Jackson, Grady, and Gwen; 2 brothers: Thomas H. Ford, Jr. of Speedwell, TN and Gordon L. (Diane) Ford of Huntingdon, PA; 1 sister Ruth (James) Zimmerman of Wilcox, PA, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister Romaine Anderson and 1 sister-in-law Shirley Ford.
A Celebration of Life for Raymond E. Ford, Sr. will be held at the Thompson Funeral Home on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at 11:00 AM, with Military Honors accorded by the Ridgway Servicemen’s Burial Detail. Officiating will be Ronald L. Burkett, Pastor of the Hallton Church. Burial will be at Parkklawn Memorial Gardens. There will be no visitation.
