Archie G. Miller, Jr., age 85, formerly of 521 Chestnut Ave., Ridgway, died Wednesday morning March 22, 2017 at Forestview Skilled Nursing Center in Erie.  He was born March 15, 1932 in Jefferson County, son of the late Archie G. and Nellie I. (Park) Miller, Sr.  He married Nancy Sushereba on July 20, 1958.  They were married for 45 years.  She preceded him in death on September 12, 2003.  He was a 1950 graduate of the Brookville High School.  He resided in Ridgway for 48 years and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and a past member of the Rolfe Beagle Club.  Archie loved hunting and fishing.  He served in the U.S. Marines and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict.  He had been employed by Clarion Sintered Metals for 33 years.

He is survived by 4 daughters:  Brenda (John) Pavlic of N. Huntingdon, PA, Mary (Tim) Olesnanik of Lake City, PA, Patty (Michael) Gordon of Mt. Horeb, WI, and Amy Miller of St. Marys, 7 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by 1 brother George Miller.

Funeral and Committal Services for Archie G. Miller, Jr. will be held at the Thompson Funeral Home on Friday at 1:00 PM.  Officiating will be Rev. Tim Hoover, Pastor of The First United Methodist Church in St. Marys.  Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Gardens.  Friends will be received at the Thompson Funeral Home on Friday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at 1:00 PM.  Memorials, if desired, can be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church.
