Robert C. Sullivan, age 67, of 419 Lookout Ave., Ridgway died unexpectedly Thursday August 31, 2017 at his residence.  He was born July 1, 1950, in New Kensington, Pa, son of the late Robert W. and Mary S. (Gier) Sullivan.  He resided in Ridgway all his life and was a graduate of the Ridgway High School.  He was a member of St. Leo Catholic Church, The American Legion Post 208 where he was Commander and President, the V.F.W., and the Eagles.  He served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam Era.  He had been employed by Motion Control  for 28 years and the Ridgway Borough for 10 years.

He is survived by 1 brother Brian M. (Chris) Sullivan of Ridgway, 1 nephew Brian Sullivan of Ridgway, 2 nieces:  Nicole Sullivan of Ridgway and Sarah Sullivan of Ridgway, and several cousins.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother William Sullivan.

A Celebration of Life for Robert C. Sullivan will be held on Sunday September 10, 2017 at 1:00 PM at the American Legion Post 208 in Ridgway with Military Honors accorded by the Ridgway Servicemen’s Burial Detail.  There will be no visitation.  Memorials, if desired, can be made to Rides for Vets c/o American Legion Post 208, 330 Main St., Ridgway, PA  15853.  Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Thompson Funeral Home.
